It’s about WHAT YOU DO with what you have.
It’s a little over 1:00 AM and I thought it would be a perfect time to write because 1) it’s a weekend and I don’t have a lot of deadline 2) my daughter is sleeping (as for my son, he’s beside me drawing something I am yet to decipher).
So anyway, I’m typing my blog post using my second hand, outdated laptop. Apart from having a beat-up laptop, I have a basic smartphone which sometimes surprises me as it shuts down on its own, or sends messages like it has its own life. Am I going to upgrade it?
Hopefully yes. 🙂 But that’s not the purpose of this post. Although I would love to have some sponsors.
For now, I will share with you the things that my gears have done for me.
My old laptop and smartphone helped me achieve these 2 things :
- New jobs (Virtual Assistant, Writer, Speaker, Real Estate Sales) – No wonder my laptop is already raising its white flag. With all the things that I am doing with it, it screams ‘I SURRENDER’. 🙂
- Learned new skills – My basic gadgets allowed me to learn advanced skills. Now, I am knowledgeable about professional blogging, bookkeeping, local cultures and so much more.
I have nothing against those people who buy luxurious gadgets. If they can afford it, who am I to stop them? But my post is about average earners like me. You see, you don’t always have to aim for better gears or things in life (generally speaking). What you need to learn is how you can maximize what you are holding and use that as your stepping stone for something better.
